Replacement, glass types, warranty and keeping your windshield in shape.
Replace it as soon as a crack, chip or scratch affects your view of the road, not only when the glass is broken. Damage that blocks your vision makes driving unsafe.
Laminated glass has a plastic (PVB) layer between two sheets of glass. On impact it cracks in a spider-web pattern and holds together, so there are few sharp pieces and you can still see.
Tempered glass is strengthened by heating and rapid cooling. When it breaks, it shatters into small pieces.
Car glass comes in three types:
Usually 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the vehicle and the installation. You wait while we work; there’s no need to leave your car overnight. At Banawe, our newest tools fit a windshield in 30 minutes or less.
It depends on your car’s make, model and year, the glass and your location. Book online or contact your nearest branch for a quotation.
We recommend replacement for any crack, big or small. Some damage can’t be seen or properly repaired, and an untreated crack can spread. A new windshield is also free of the old one’s scratches and stains.
